Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine | Final Issue - Fall-Winter 2025
10/17/2025

Hello everyone!

I’m beyond excited to share that my card is featured in the Fall/Winter issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine! 🥳✨ It’s such an honor to see my work included alongside so many talented makers.

Before I dive into sharing my card, I just wanted to take a minute to chat—can you believe this is the very last print issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today (SCT) Magazine? I’ve been a big fan of SCT for so long, and I always look forward to getting my hands on each new issue. The ideas and inspiration inside are truly awesome, and SCT has always done an amazing job highlighting creativity and bringing our crafty community together. Every once in a while, I’ve even had the joy of seeing my own cards featured right alongside some seriously talented creators. If you’re curious about what’s next for SCT, you can find out more here: https://scrapbookandcards.com/a-new-chapter-for-scrapbook-cards-today/

Now, a little about my card:

This little owl design is a perfect reminder that learning doesn’t stop at any age.  My card features a rainbow stack of books, a wide-eyed owl (complete with oversized glasses, of course!), and a textured alphabet background for an academic touch. It’s tied up with a bit of twine and topped off with a feel-good sentiment we can all relate to.

Design Highlights:

  • 🦉 Owl the Wisdom – Copic-colored and full of personality, this owl is ready to hit the books!
  • 🌈 Book Stack Brights – The stack of books was colored in a vibrant rainbow gradient to keep things fun and cheerful.
  • 🔤 Alphabet Die Cut Background – Adds soft texture and gives the background a subtle schoolhouse feel.
  • 🎀 Tied with a Bow – A simple black-and-white twine wrap brings a bit of cozy charm.
  • 💬 The Perfect Sentiment – “You are never too old to learn” is spot-on for back-to-school — or anytime you’re chasing something new.

Whether it’s for a teacher, a student, or a lifelong learner, this card is a little burst of encouragement wrapped up in color 💌

I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
