card making techniques

Shake, Rattle, and Boo!
We’ve made it to Card #7 in my Halloween series—and this one’s got shake 👻 I used the Tiny Frights stamp set and new coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp’s Fall and Halloween release to create these playful ghosts and bat. The dramatic spider web die (a classic Tim Holtz fave) makes a perfect backdrop inside the shaker window. With sequins, sparkle, and spooky-cute vibes, this was such a fun way to close out the series! 🦇✨

Flying Into a Sweet Christmas
Soaring through a winter sky, this gingerbread airplane from Spellbinders’ Candy Christmas by Stamperia brings holiday cheer in the sweetest way. Puffy clouds, snowy evergreens, and a festive banner complete the playful scene, making this card a fun twist on Christmas traditions. A little whimsy, a lot of charm—this one’s bound to make spirits bright!

Hocus Pocus and a Pop of Sass
Card #6 is bringing the sass with a witchy twist! 🧙♀️ I’m back using the Halloween Doodles stamp set with the new coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp’s Fall and Halloween release. The stitched panel keeps things clean, while bold Halloween stripes and a cheeky sentiment—“I’m just here for the boos”—bring the fun. Finished off with a few scattered sequins for that magical sparkle! 🖤✨

Just Breathe into Fall
Card #5 in my series takes a peaceful turn with this fall-inspired design using the Fall and Halloween Dies from Simon Says Stamp that coordinate with Tim Holtz stamps. 🍁 I used watercolor markers directly on the leaf stamps, misted them with water, and pressed them onto watercolor paper for a loose, organic effect. The “Just Breathe” sentiment from a past release pulls it all together with quiet, autumn calm. 🍂✨

Frightfully Fun with a Hint of Webby Whimsy!
Card #4 in my Halloween series is a cheerful little fright fest! 🎃 I embossed an older Tim Holtz spider web die into the background for subtle texture, then layered on images from the Tiny Frights stamp set using the new coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp’s Fall and Halloween release. A grinning pumpkin, crescent moon, and bat bring the spooky vibes—plus a soft ink-blended glow and some sparkly orange gems for good measure! 🧡🕸

Holiday Magic on Main Street
This handmade card captures a cozy winter story straight out of Yana’s City Holiday Collection from Spellbinders. A curious pup and a playful kitty steal the spotlight next to layered windows decked out with red curtains and holiday décor 🎄🐾. With textured snow, festive touches, and tons of dimension, this design feels like a little holiday tale on cardstock. ❄️❤️

EEK! It’s a Skeleton Party…and a Blog Hop!
Card #3 in my Halloween series is bringing the spooky vibes—with a little sass! 💀 I used the Halloween Doodles stamps and coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp’s Fall and Halloween release to spotlight this cheeky skeleton, potion bottle, and hat. The Sketched Manor from Card #2 makes a subtle cameo in the tone-on-tone embossed background. That giant “EEK!” in neon green? Pure Halloween drama. 🧪🖤

Haunted with Heart: A Dimensional Take on Sketch Manor
Card #2 in my spooky series is here—and this haunted Sketch Manor has serious dimension! 🏚 Using the new Fall and Halloween Dies from Simon Says Stamp that coordinate with Tim Holtz stamps, I layered the stamped manor piece-by-piece for a 3D look. Even the front doors open (in true haunted fashion)! 🚪 Paired with a glowing moon and a comforting sentiment, this card mixes eerie and heartfelt in the best way. 💛

Clean, Simple, and a Little Spooky: Boo to You!
Spooky season is here, and I’m kicking it off with this clean and simple Halloween card featuring the new Fall and Halloween Dies from Simon Says Stamp that coordinate with Tim Holtz stamps! 🦉 I kept the design minimal but playful, with a Copic-colored owl in a witch hat, a softly blended background, and a bold “boo” to make you smile. 💚🧙♀️ This is the first in a 7-card series, so stay tuned for more spooky fun coming soon!

Moonlight & Mischief
Moonlight, mischief, and a whole lot of cuteness! This Halloween card features that wide-eyed black cat from Spellbinders’ Simon Hurley Spooktacular Collection, set against a glowing moon inked in yellows with just a hint of green to tie in the cat’s festive hat. It’s playful, a little spooky, and totally ready to cast some crafty spells!
