Hi there!
Sometimes you just have to let your project lean all the way into adorable spookiness. This tag is a perfect example—it’s equal parts quirky, playful, and perfectly creepy-cute thanks to the fun characters illustrated by Janet Klien for AALL & Create.

For this design, I wanted a layered background that wouldn’t overwhelm my clean-and-simple style. Rub-ons gave me the perfect starting point, and then I softened the look by tamping back some of the color with white gesso. The result? Just enough texture and interest while still letting the characters take center stage.

Design Highlights
🧛♀️ Quirky character from Fright Bites paired with her pumpkin for Halloween charm.
🎃 Little bat popping out of a tea cup with the “creep it cute” sentiment—tiny details that tell the story.
✨ Background created with Enchanting Larking rub-ons, softened with Dina Wakely white gesso for a clean finish.
🏷️ The Taggletastic die frames everything and makes this a perfect tag for gifting.
🖤 Finished with black baker’s twine and layered over black cardstock for bold contrast.
All products are linked on my blog and are available from www.aallandcreate.com and stockists worldwide.

And that’s a wrap on this project—creepy, cute, and just the right mix of spooky fun!
Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!
