Hi there!
Some projects make you grin as you’re creating them. This spooky-cute Storybook House was one of those. Between the candy-toting ghost, the wide-eyed little girl with bat wings, and the tiniest bat peeking from a teacup and opening the shutters, this card practically staged its own Halloween play while I was working on it.

To keep the scene fun but not too busy, I leaned into my clean style but gave the house a little textured drama with stencil and paste. The quirky cast of characters did the rest.

Design Highlights
✨ Background magic with the Lava Lamp stencil and Distress Crackle Paste for crackly, eerie texture.
🦇 The little bat in the teacup looks like he’s opening the upper shutters to peek out at the fun.
🎃 The main character brings bold personality with bat wings, pumpkin bucket, and candy at her feet.
🏠 The Storybook House die frames the whole scene, giving it that perfect “spooky cottage” feel.
💙 Soft ink-blended edges with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide to highlight the house shape.
