Yearning for Spring

AALL & Create
02/28/2026

Hi there!

Late winter has a way of testing patience. The snow has lost its charm, the light still feels thin, and I find myself craving color in a big way. This card started as a small act of rebellion against another gray day, and quickly turned into a little pocket of spring on my desk.

One of the things I reach for most when I want that instant lift is ephemera. It lets me build something beautiful without overthinking every step, and this floral piece from AALL & Create did all the heavy lifting. A soft palette, a hint of shine, and just enough dimension to feel finished.

Design Highlights 🌸

• A bold floral ephemera piece creates an instant focal point
• A stitched window panel adds structure without competing
• Clear enamel dots bring a subtle sparkle and light movement
• A butterfly accent adds that early-spring feeling we are all waiting for
• Simple white twine keeps everything grounded and airy

✂️Studio Tip:  When you want ephemera to look “built in” instead of “stuck on,” tuck it into something. A stitched window, a frame, or even a simple mat instantly helps it feel intentional. I also like to pop just part of the ephemera up with foam, then keep one edge flat with liquid glue. That tiny shift in height makes the whole cluster feel more natural and dimensional without getting bulky.

This card came together quickly, which is exactly why I love working with ephemera. When winter feels endless, having supplies that help you create fast and joyfully is a small gift in itself.

Have a wonderfully creative day.
