Sometimes I have a tendency to keep going.

Another layer. Another embellishment. Maybe just one more little something in that corner…

This card was a good reminder that I don’t always need to.

I started with the pretty florals from the new Simon Says Stamp To Friendship Stamp Set and a simple blue and green palette. Once I had the flowers stamped, I really liked how fresh and open everything felt, so rather than filling the space around them, I decided to protect it.

The belly band gave me a way to add something unexpected to the design without actually adding much to the design. A bit of black and white twine brought in some contrast, and a few small blue embellishments were enough to finish things off.

And then I stopped.

Which, frankly, may have been the most difficult technique used on this entire card. 😂
