I truly enjoy holiday cards with a different type: cute, colorful, and just a little bit cheeky.
This little guy definitely qualifies.
For this Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® project, I paired the Baa-La-La Stamp Set with the Embossed Card Edges dies and let the design stay wonderfully simple. I colored the lamb and Christmas lights with OLO markers, pulling in a bright rainbow palette against all that crisp white.
The layered scalloped edges do a surprising amount of work here. They add dimension and give the little lamb a place to perch without adding more “stuff” to the card. I especially love how the string of lights follows the upper edge and gives your eye a little path across the design.
And, of course, the sentiment was non-negotiable. You cannot give me a Christmas sheep and expect me to resist a good “Baa-La-La.”
A little color, a little dimension, and a sheep who is clearly committed to the holiday spirit. I’m calling it done.
