Clean, Simple, and a Little Spooky: Boo to You!

2025 Simon Says Stamp FALL AND HALLOWEEN Dies that coordinate with Tim Holtz Stamps
08/18/2025

Hi there!

It’s officially spooky season in the studio—and I’m kicking things off with the first in a series of seven Halloween cards featuring the new Fall and Halloween Dies from Simon Says Stamp that coordinate with Tim Holtz stamps! This first one is giving all the clean-and-simple vibes with a cute little owl who’s clearly ready to cast some crafty spells. 🧙‍♀️✨

Design Highlights:
🦉 Witchy Owl Cutie – This adorable owl is from the Tim Holtz “Tiny Frights” stamp set and was die-cut using the coordinating new die set from Simon Says Stamp. I colored him up with Copic markers and gave his hat a splash of green for a playful pop!
🌌 Simple Ink Blended Background – A soft halo of ink blending makes the perfect spooky spotlight without overwhelming the design.
🖤 Bold Sentiment Combo – I paired the bold “boo” die cut with a clean stamped “Happy Halloween” for a modern Halloween greeting.
🧼 Clean & Simple Layout – Lots of white space helps this sweet little owl and sentiment combo really stand out.
✨ Just a Touch of Shine – A couple of silver baubles add a bit of sparkle to this otherwise minimal design.

This clean and simple card was the perfect way to kick off this new series, and I can’t wait to share more playful spooky makes in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for card #2—it’s a little more haunted! 👻

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
