EEK! It’s a Skeleton Party…and a Blog Hop!

2025 Simon Says Stamp FALL AND HALLOWEEN Dies that coordinate with Tim Holtz Stamps
08/20/2025

Hi there!

I’m super excited to be participating in a blog hop for Simon Says Stamp featuring new dies that coordinate with Tim Holtz Fall and Halloween stamp sets! I hope you follow along on the hop for some fun inspiration from some amazing designers (full hop list is below)!

For my stop on the hop, things are getting delightfully creepy! This is Card #3 in my Halloween series featuring the fun new dies from this release and this card is all about high-contrast drama, a mischievous skeleton, and one big EEK! 💀💚

I brought back the Sketched Manor die from Card #2, this time using it as a tone-on-tone background embossed into black card stock. It adds just the right amount of spooky texture without stealing the show. The skeleton, witch hat, and bubbling bottle are from the Halloween Doodles stamp set, all cut out with the new coordinating dies. That lime green pop against the black? Chef’s kiss. 🧪🖤

Design Highlights:
💀 Dancing Skeleton – The Halloween Doodles skeleton is ready to party, complete with a hat and potion!
🍃 Tone-on-Tone Background – The Sketch Manor makes a subtle return as an embossed black-on-black texture.
🧪 Bubbling Green Bottle – A sparkly potion adds a splash of Halloween magic.
🟢 Bold “EEK!” – The giant green sentiment creates the spotlight and brings the drama.
✨ Tall and Slim – This slimline format gives everything room to breathe… or rattle their bones.

This card was such a fun twist in the series, with bold color and playful spooky elements. Stay tuned for Card #4—it’s going to be extra magical. And, of course, you won’t want to miss what the other designers in the hop have brewed up for you, so if you’re following along, here’s the full hop list:

I’m always thankful to have multiple uses for my over abundance of craft supplies. It helps me feel not so much as a collector but actual crafter. Using as many stamps is a great idea. I love your ability to use imagination and incorporate many stamps into this beautiful card..

Your card is so cool and eerie, Jean. I love the embossed Enchanted Mansion with the trees in the background, kind-of hidden but not. The Skeleton with the cylinder wrapped around the EEK! in that spooky and creepy limey green is fabulous. And all of that on the slimline is perfect. Thank you for sharing.

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
