Hello, Baby

Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to share this adorable handmade card I created with the new Little Smiles Collection from @teamspellbinders! This card is full of charm and softness—the perfect way to welcome a new baby into the world. Whether you’re crafting for a baby shower, a new arrival, or even a nursery keepsake, this sweet stork and baby scene is sure to bring on the smiles!

Design Highlights

🍼 Sweet Stork Delivery Scene
How cute is this stork?! I used the new dies to build this heartwarming scene of a stork carrying a bundled-up baby through a sky full of stars. The layers and gentle curves in the die cuts add so much personality to each element.

☁️ Dimensional Cloud Borders
Top and bottom cloud borders frame the card beautifully and create that dreamy, floating-in-the-sky effect.

⭐ Embossed Starry Sky
Check out that night sky background! I used an embossing folder to add raised stars for extra texture and interest. A little ink blending – and some white pigment ink over the top to make the stars pop – brought out that deep, peaceful blue.

🎀 Tied with a Bow
A white twine bow across the top gives the card a soft, finishing touch and mimics the gentle curve of the stork’s bundle. It’s a simple little detail that adds warmth and sweetness.

🗨️ Playful Sentiment
“Hello, baby!” is the perfect greeting—cute, casual, and a great fit for this whimsical scene. I love how it balances the design without overpowering it.

This card came together so easily thanks to the thoughtful designs in the Little Smiles Collection. I can already tell I’ll be reaching for these dies again for baby gifts, milestone cards, and even scrapbooking moments.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have you crafted with the Little Smiles collection yet? Let me know what you’ve made—I’d love to see your baby-themed creations! 👶✨

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
