Just Breathe into Fall

2025 Simon Says Stamp FALL AND HALLOWEEN Dies that coordinate with Tim Holtz Stamps
08/25/2025

Hi there!

After a few spine-tingling cards, it felt like the perfect time to pause and soak in some crisp fall air… cardmaking style! 🍁 Card #5 in my series using the Fall and Halloween Dies from Simon Says Stamp (that coordinate with Tim Holtz stamps) shifts gears to celebrate the fall side of the season.

For this one, I used the Nature’s Wonder stamp set and colored directly onto the stamps with watercolor markers. A quick mist of water and a press onto watercolor paper gave each leaf a soft, organic feel—like they drifted down from the trees and landed right on this card. The sentiment, “Just Breathe,” is from an earlier Simon Says Stamp release and felt like the perfect message for this peaceful autumn moment.

Design Highlights:
🍁 Watercolor Stamping – I used watercolor markers directly on the stamps, misted them, then stamped for a loose, painterly look.
💨 “Just Breathe” Vibes – The sentiment from a past release adds a calming touch to this otherwise vibrant card.
🖼 Layered White-on-White Texture – Embossed and die-cut frames create quiet contrast and structure.
🧡 Fall Color Palette – Golden orange, scarlet red, and warm browns capture the season’s beauty.
✨ Scattered Pearls & Gems – A soft shimmer brings a touch of elegance to the wild leaf cluster.

After all the “EEK!”s and spooky doors, this card was a beautiful breather. Stick around… we’ve got two more cards coming!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
