Merry & Bright

Simon Says Stamp | Sugar and Spice Release
10/09/2025

Hi there!

Some cards just make you smile from the very first cut, and this one from the new Simon Says Stamp Sugar and Spice release is exactly that. It’s packed with winter cheer, playful details, and a warm “merry & bright” greeting that ties it all together.

I wanted the design to feel festive but also crisp and modern. By inlaying the die cuts, I kept the surface smooth and let the bold pops of color shine against the white background. The result is a card that feels fresh, joyful, and full of holiday spirit.

Design Highlights

✨ Inlaid die cuts for a seamless, polished look.
🦌 Charming seasonal icons—deer, trees, mittens, hearts, and birds—all pieced together like a festive puzzle.
🎨 Bright, cheerful color palette that feels both playful and cozy.
💛 Shiny gold “merry” sentiment paired with gold heat-embossed “& bright” for balance and shine.
🎁 A ribbon of gold adds extra sparkle across the center.

And that’s my take on this merry little design—bright, colorful, and a happy start to the holiday crafting season!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
