Sending Warmth, One Bloom at a Time

Simon Says Stamp | You Are My Favorite Release
05/01/2025

Hey there, crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing a cozy little card featuring the Mandala Blooms stamp set from the You Are My Favorite release by @SimonSaysStamp—and it’s the perfect blend of warmth and floral fun ☕🌼 I used the same stamp set in two different ways on this card, and I love how it brought both depth and detail to the final design!

From the layered red background to the bright Copic-colored coffee mug, this one feels like a handmade hug (in a mug)—just right for sharing love, thanks, or a sweet hello.

Design Highlights

☕ Floral coffee mug focal point: I stamped the Mandala Blooms onto a die-cut mug and colored it in rich warm tones using my trusty Copic markers. Bright, bold, and full of cozy vibes!

🔴 Tone-on-tone stamping: That gorgeous background? It’s the same Mandala Blooms image, stamped in red ink on red cardstock for a subtle, elegant backdrop.

💬 Sweet heart-steam details: Floating hearts add a whimsical touch that keeps the design light and fun.

🧵 Tied with twine: A simple white string bow adds softness and balance to the bold red palette.

✨ Finishing sparkle: A few clear embellishments give the whole thing just a bit of shimmer without taking over the scene.

I had so much fun mixing rich colors and layered textures with this card—and I love how versatile the Mandala Blooms set turned out to be! Whether you’re sending hugs, thanks, or a pick-me-up, this cozy card has you covered.

Thanks so much for visiting! ☕❤️

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
