For me, baking is part comfort, part creativity, and always a little bit nostalgic. That same feeling is what first drew me to the Make It & Bake It Collection by Tina Smith for Spellbinders.
This collection is packed with charming baking icons that are easy to mix, match, and layer. I created three cards that all live in the same cozy kitchen world, but each one highlights a slightly different moment in the baking process. Together, they tell a sweet little story while still standing on their own.
Card One: Sugar Cookies Recipe Card

This card leans into a warm, cozy palette with soft cream tones, kraft accents, and just a pop of rich purple. The recipe card background sets the scene, while the piping bag and cookie shapes add playful dimension. A bit of twine at the top gives it that well-loved recipe card feel, like something pulled straight from a kitchen drawer. I used a Canva template to create the recipe card (one that I use at home regularly, but I changed the colors to make it cohesive with the design).
Card Two: Cookie Cooling Rack

For the second card, I kept the background clean and let the die-cut layers do the work. The cooling rack creates instant structure and movement, and the cookies scattered on top add a lighthearted, freshly baked vibe. This one feels bright, graphic, and fun while still tying back to the rest of the set.
Card Three: Measuring and Mixing

The final card shifts into a cooler color palette with soft blues and minty greens. The scale, measuring cups, and mixing pitcher make this design feel calm and orderly, almost like the quiet moment before the baking begins. It is a gentle contrast to the warmer tones of the other two cards and rounds out the collection beautifully.
