Little Robots, Big Feelings

Simon Says Stamp | Heart to Heart Release
02/05/2026

Hi there!

There’s something instantly charming about tiny characters that manage to carry a lot of emotion in a small space. These Robo Buddies cards were such a joy to create, and easily one of my favorite sets from the Simon Says Stamp Heart to Heart release.

I kept the layouts simple and leaned into soft ink blending so the robots could really take center stage. Even without the coordinating dies, fussy cutting turned out to be a relaxing part of the process and gave me the freedom to play with placement and personality on each card. While the designs share a cohesive look, each card carries a slightly different feeling depending on the sentiment.

Card One: Missing You (and Recharging)

This card feels calm and comforting, with the little robot tucked into a crescent moon while he waits. He may be missing someone, but he’s also taking a quiet moment to recharge. The soft blue tones and subtle sparkle give this card a gentle, reassuring mood that feels perfect for sending encouragement across the miles.

Card Two: Love You

This card leans fully into sweetness. The soft pink heart backdrop paired with floating hearts creates a warm, affectionate design that feels playful without being busy. It’s simple, cheerful, and perfect for sharing a little extra love.

Card Three: You’re the Best

This final card feels upbeat and encouraging, with the robot floating confidently among scattered stars. The open layout allows the sentiment to really stand out, making it a great option for thank-you cards, celebrations, or everyday encouragement.

Design Highlights

  • 🤖 Fussy-cut Robo Buddies for flexible placement
  • 🎨 Soft ink blending to create simple, supportive backgrounds
  • ✨ Minimal embellishing to keep the focus on the characters
  • 💬 Clean layouts that let the sentiments shine

Studio Tip:  When fussy cutting stamped images, leave a small, consistent white border around each piece. It helps the image pop against light backgrounds and disguises tiny cutting imperfections.

Have a wonderfully creative day.
