Peace and Quiet Sparkle

AALL & Create
11/15/2025

Hi there!

Winter crafting always invites a slower pace. I built this scene with AALL & Create favorites, imagining the hush that follows fresh snowfall. The sweet little angel, a friendly bird, and a soft green tree come together over a gently ink-blended background sprinkled with snowflakes.

To frame it all, I stacked a rosy geometric frame and tucked in a silver “Peace” sentiment. The quiet layers, the soft color shifts, and a few metallic droplets make the whole piece feel like a calm carol at candlelight.

Design Highlights

  • 👼 Angel moment: Copic-colored focal brings warmth and sweetness to the scene.
  • ❄️ Snowy glow: Soft ink blending over snowflake impressions adds gentle winter atmosphere.
  • 🌲 Shiny details: Silver droplets on the tree echo the sentiment’s metallic shine.
  • 🎀 Framed focus: Stacked pink frame shapes pull the eye to the center and add depth.
  • 🕊️ Tiny visitor: A little bird with an olive branch finishes the message of peace.

✂️ Studio Tip:  Create dimensional snowbanks by trimming a separate curved strip of white cardstock, popping it up with foam adhesive, then brushing on Stickles for a glittery, snow-kissed finish. The lift gives natural shadow, and the sparkle reads beautifully in photos.

A soft scene, a little shimmer, and a wish for peace.

Have a wonderfully creative day.

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
