Real Friends Still Send Cards

Spellbinders Clubs - December 2025
12/09/2025

There’s something timeless about sending a handmade note to a friend. The December Stamp and Die of the Month from Spellbinders captures that sentiment perfectly, with phrases that feel both classic and fresh. I love that the set’s messages are versatile enough to use year-round, yet perfectly suited for getting a head start on Valentine’s Day projects.

For this design, I paired one of the sentiments with the Love Notes Bird die set from an earlier release. I always enjoy blending something new with something familiar, and this little bird was the perfect messenger. The background features the Embossing Folder of the Month, bringing soft texture that complements the warm, layered die cuts.

💡 Design Highlights

  • 🕊️ Layered Elegance: The Love Notes Bird die set creates a dimensional focal point with soft, blended tones.
  • 💌 Sentiment Story: “Because real friends still send cards” feels heartfelt and timeless.
  • 🌿 Coordinated Details: Subtle foliage die cuts add depth and balance to the composition.
  • 🩶 Textural Contrast: The embossed background adds gentle texture without overpowering the design.
  • ✨ Finishing Touches: Neutral pearls and satin ribbon complete the look with quiet sophistication.

There’s nothing quite like sending a handmade card to remind someone they matter. Here’s to keeping those creative connections alive.

Have a wonderfully creative day!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
