Shoot for the Moon!

Simon Says Stamp | Happy Camper Release
08/02/2025

Hello friends!

Some designs are carefully planned, and others take a spontaneous turn. This card? A little of both! I was adding white splatter for that perfect starry sky effect when a streak landed just right. Instead of wiping it away, I leaned in — now it’s the rocket’s trail as it zooms past Earth! 🙌

I used the adorable new stamp set called “Shoot for the Moon” from the Simon Says Stamp “Happy Camper” release to create this out-of-this-world scene. It’s playful, bold, and perfect for a friend who’s chasing big dreams. 🌍✨

Design Highlights:
🚀 The cutest little space explorer ever — blasting off in style!
🌍 Earth is hand-colored with Copic markers for depth and glow
🎨 Accidental splatter became the rocket’s trail — happy crafting accident!
🖤 Deep indigo galaxy background with crisp contrast
🌟 Sentiment tucked right along the Earth’s curve for a finishing touch

This card was a blast to make (pun intended)! Sometimes the best designs come from the unexpected. 💫

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
