The Best Sister stamp set from Simon Says Stamp’s Always There release arrived with an impressive combination of adorable character pairings, genuinely versatile sentiments, and what felt like a direct invitation to lean fully into playful, personality-driven cardmaking.
Naturally, I accepted.
For this three-card collection, I wanted to explore how simple shifts in spotlight shape, color story, and sentiment focus could create distinct designs while still keeping the overall series cohesive. The Copic-colored sister pairs became the clear stars, while bright ink-blended spotlights helped anchor each design with enough variation to keep things visually interesting. The coordinating dies may have eventually been an option, but for these cards, tiny scissors and steady determination were simply part of the process.

The first card leaned into a bright, cheerful interpretation of sisterhood, using a bold arched spotlight to create structure while keeping the design playful. I loved how the cleaner composition allowed the focal images and sentiment to carry the emotional weight without needing much additional complexity.

This card quickly became one of my favorites because those two girls undeniably look like they are celebrating with the cutest little fist bump imaginable. The coral spotlight added warmth and energy, while the overall simplicity kept the interaction front and center. Sometimes the best part of a design is simply recognizing when the stamped images are already doing something unexpectedly delightful.

For the final card, I shifted slightly into friendship-focused territory. The square spotlight and bold “bestie” sentiment gave this design a more modern, graphic feel while still preserving the softness that tied the full collection together.
What I loved most about this set was its flexibility. Through relatively simple adjustments, these cards moved naturally between traditional sisterhood, friendship, and chosen-family themes while maintaining strong visual consistency.
Also, I deeply appreciate any product that manages to combine emotional warmth with tiny aggressively adorable people.
This collection felt like such a good reminder that sweet character cards can absolutely remain polished, fresh, and personality-forward… even when scissors become far more involved than originally anticipated.
