Sentiment Trio

Spellbinders | Essentially Yours Sentiment Collection

Some designs begin with the background or the focal image, but for this set, I started with the words. My goal was to let each sentiment take the lead, shaping the layout and guiding how the supporting elements were placed.

These cards feature products from the Essential Sentiments collection from Spellbinders, and I approached them as a coordinated set. Each design shares the same soft teal and pink palette, but varies in composition so the sentiment remains the clear focal point in every card.

Movement defines the first design, with florals arranged to guide the eye into the sentiment. I placed the blooms in a loose cascade, allowing them to frame the “Thank You” while still leaving plenty of open space. That balance keeps the card feeling light while ensuring the message stands forward.

Placement drives the second design, using the branch to create a natural line across the card. The bird becomes a point of interest, but it also helps direct the eye downward toward the sentiment. I kept the surrounding elements minimal so the composition stays clean and the message remains central.

Soft structure shapes the third design, with the umbrella acting as a gentle anchor. I positioned it above the sentiment to create a sense of coverage and balance, while the small floral accents provide just enough detail to keep the design from feeling sparse. The open space allows the message to carry the emotional weight.

Color ties the set together while allowing each layout to feel distinct. The consistent teal and pink palette creates cohesion, while subtle shifts in placement and proportion give each card its own rhythm.

Design Highlights

• Sentiment-forward layouts → allow the message to define each composition
• Coordinated teal + pink palette → creates cohesion across the set
• Supporting elements → guide the eye without competing for attention
• Open space → keeps each design clean and intentional

This set is a reminder that when the sentiment leads, the rest of the design naturally falls into place.
