A Sweet “Hi” with Fresh Florals

Hey there, crafty friends!

Today’s card is a happy little hello featuring the May 2025 Embossing Folder of the Month from @teamspellbinders! I paired the wonky geometric texture of the embossed background with bright, cheerful florals for a fun layered look that’s easy to make and full of charm 💌

And for my teal-loving friends out there—I know you love this background. I couldn’t resist bringing out the cool tones for a fresh and breezy vibe! 💙

Design Highlights

  • 🌿 Geometric embossed texture: The subtle, wonky, linear design of this month’s folder adds just the right amount of structure without stealing the spotlight.
  • 🌸 Layered floral cluster: I die cut and assembled a mix of playful flowers in purples, pinks, and greens—popped up with foam for dimension and drama.
  • 💬 Simple “Hi” sentiment: Sometimes, a friendly hello is all you need. I kept the sentiment bold and clean to balance the florals.
  • ✨ Aqua embellishments: Teal pearls add sparkle and tie in perfectly with the background!

This card came together so quickly, and I love how it turned out—clean, colorful, and ready to brighten someone’s day. The Embossing Folder of the Month is such a great way to add instant texture!

I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
