Now…for my hop inspiration:

The moment I saw the new Holly Jolly Layering Stamp set from this release, I knew it would bring instant holiday cheer to my craft table. Paired with an older Christmas Wreath Stencil I knew this card would be one of those designs that practically sings “Merry and Bright” — bold lettering, playful florals, and a color palette that just feels happy.

Blending the layers of pink, green, and red was pure fun, and the way the sentiment shines at the center makes the whole design come alive. A few glossy berries and sequins add sparkle, keeping the look festive and full of joyful detail — like wrapping up the season in color and shine.

Design Highlights

  • 🎄 Festive Layers: The Holly Jolly Layering Stamp set builds colorful depth.
  • ❤️ Bold Sentiment: Oversized “Holly Jolly” lettering becomes the perfect focal point.
  • 💚 Playful Palette: Pinks, greens, and reds combine for a bright twist on traditional holiday color.
  • ✨ Finishing Sparkle: Glossy accents and sequins add shine without overpowering the design.
  • 🌸 Modern Wreath Feel: Layered foliage and florals frame the sentiment beautifully.

✂️ Studio Tip:  When stenciling large sentiments, use a soft touch and build color gradually — it keeps the edges crisp and smooth. For extra polish, try adding a subtle shadow layer behind your sentiment in a coordinating hue.

Bright colors, easy layers, and pure creative joy — this one truly lives up to its name.

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
