Carnaby Street, 1966

Hi there!

Every fashion era has its defining moment, and 1966 was Carnaby Street’s. I wanted this card to capture that mod energy with a softer, modern twist. The little shopper from AALL & Create sets the scene perfectly, her bold outfit standing out against the crisp white building.

For a change of pace, I used my Zig markers with a no-line coloring technique. It softened the edges just enough to keep the look painterly, while the rich purples and blues kept the spirit vibrant and fun. The embossed white building, complete with the number 1966, ties the whole design back to its iconic London inspiration.

Design Highlights
💜 No-line coloring for a soft, modern finish
🏙 Embossed white building adds texture and story
👜 Pops of purple and teal for that mod-era flair
📍Playful reference to Carnaby Street’s fashion roots

✂️ Studio Tip: Try using no-line coloring when you want a softer, hand-painted feel. It gives your stamped images a more natural, illustrated look — perfect for characters and detailed scenes.

Have a wonderfully creative day.
