I think we’ve all been making one incorrect assumption about ghosts.
Who says they spend all their time haunting old houses?
Maybe they’re at the beach. Maybe they’re floating around the pool with friends. Maybe they’re standing in line for boba like the rest of us.

That’s exactly why I’m having so much fun with Hero Arts’ Summerween Collection. Instead of leaning into spooky season, it imagines what ghosts might be doing when they’re off the clock – and apparently they’re living their best summer lives.
The first card makes me laugh because the little trio in the pool looks completely unbothered. One even remembered a sun hat. I’m not entirely sure how a ghost gets sunburned, but I appreciate the commitment.
The second card might be my favorite, though. I kept imagining this sweet ghost stopping for an afternoon bubble tea after wandering through a flower market. It’s calm, cheerful, and just a little quirky…which is probably my favorite combination in a card.

These cards are a good reminder that seasonal crafting doesn’t have to stay inside the usual color palette—or even the usual storyline. Sometimes the most memorable designs come from asking one very important question:
“What would a ghost do on vacation?”
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’d love to hear which ghost you’d rather hang out with—the pool crew or the boba enthusiast.
