A Dash of Magic & a Hint of Sparkle

Spellbinders | Stamp and Die of the Month Club July 2025
07/06/2025

Hi everyone!

If winter cards had a personality, this one would be the quiet, whimsical type that sneaks in with a little shimmer and a lot of heart. Using the Stamp and Die of the Month from Spellbinders, I created this soft and snowy design with icy blues, dreamy purples, and delicate winter touches.

The layered tag-style banner anchors the card, featuring subtle snowflakes and a splash of watercolor. The vellum holly leaves, stitched circle, and layered sentiment add texture without heaviness. And that sentiment? Just the right amount of sparkle-season charm.

Design Highlights 🎨

  • ❄️ Watercolor background – Soft blends of blue and purple make the snowflakes shine.
  • 🌿 Layered holly + vellum leaves – A frosty twist on classic greenery.
  • 🧵 Textured stitched circle – Adds a handmade feel without overpowering the scene.
  • 🪄 Whimsical sentiment – “Sending a dash of magic” is a total winter mood.
  • ✨ Sequin sparkle – Because a little twinkle never hurts!

It’s a clean design with a playful winter spirit—perfect for sending cozy, magical vibes this season. 💌❄️

I hope you have a wonderfully creative day!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
