Hi everyone!
Today I’m sharing my third and final Christmas in July card for the month. I hope this series has inspired you to start thinking of your own Christmas cards and maybe get a head start on the season!
For this card, I decided to use a Christmas-themed set called “Christmas Cupcakes” from Pawsome Stamps. I’m a sucker for Christmas greenery, so the holly and berries on this cupcake spoke to me.
I started out by making the background for this card. I took several different sentiments from the Pawsome Stamps “Sentiment Basics – Christmas” set and randomly fit them over a cardstock panel. I stamped and embossed them in white. It is hard to see in the photos since it is white-on-white, but it really adds a lot of texture and interest to an otherwise plain background. Hopefully this photo gives you an idea of what it looks like:
I used two circle dies to cut out a window in the panel and popped it up on my card base with foam adhesive.
I stamped my cupcake and platter with Copic-friendly ink and colored them with my Copic Markers. I used a white gel pen on the berries for a highlight.
I colored my sentiment with an obre effect and then assembled all the pieces on my card front.
And, lastly, I added a few sequins for some added sparkle.
I absolutely love how this card turned out and I hope you do too!
Thank you for stopping by and for sticking with me through Christmas in July!
Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!
