2024 STAMPtember®  Blog Party

Featuring: Grateful Florals
09/02/2024

Hi there!

Yesterday we kicked of STAMPtember® over at Simon Says Stamp and today we’re having a Blog Party to celebrate!  It’s the 15th Anniversary of this amazing event – can you believe it???  It only makes sense that we would throw a party!

If you’re wondering what a Blog Party is all about, well, it’s designers from all over the world that have created inspiring projects using Simon exclusive STAMPtember® release products and they are sharing them with you on their blogs as a sort of “virtual party”.

Of course, no party is complete without games and prizes!  Each designer has been given a random code that YOU can use for all sorts of things—from stamps and dies to ink cubes and blending brushes and all sorts of other goodies in between!  That means that each designer may have a code for something different – so be sure to check out EACH of the designers to collect all your codes!

My code and instructions are shown below:

For my part of the party, I’m sharing this gorgeous floral thank you shaker card featuring the new Grateful Florals stamp set.

For this card, I first heat embossed the image on heat-resistant acetate using white embossing powder.  I then heat embossed the pink flower, bud, and greenery on watercolor cardstock.

I colored the flower, bud, and greenery using my Zig markers.

I die cut a mirrored arch from the upper portion of a card panel and stamped my sentiment.

I then created my shaker elements and added my focal flower, bud, and leaves to the front of the card.

I hope you liked this card and that you’ll come celebrate with us!  All you need to do is head over to the Simon Says Stamp blog for the list of party attendees (aka Designers) and visit their blogs/Instagram sites for your codes!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
