It’s STAMPtember® and we are having a blog party! To follow along, simply go to the Simon Says Stamp Blog and click on each designer to see what fun and inspiring creations they made! Each party stop (aka designer) has been given an exclusive STAMPtember® promotion that you can use to redeem a gift (or other prize).
The graphic below provides all the details for my part of the party – and it is perfect for celebrating!

Now… a little about my card…
I’m a big fan of looking at a product and immediately deciding which parts I love the most.
The Stained Glass Snowflake stencil and die set from the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® release can create a full stained-glass design, but my eye kept going straight to that snowflake. So, I decided to forget the rest of the panel and make it the whole point.

I used the individual inlay pieces in shades of turquoise, blue, and violet, then shifted the snowflake into the upper corner rather than centering it. I love how letting parts of it disappear beyond the edges makes the snowflake feel larger and gives all that open white space a reason to be there.
A bit of silver was really all I wanted after that. I added the delicate sentiment, a few small metallic accents, and some silver cord along the top to carry the shine through the design.
Turns out I truly didn’t need the whole window. I just needed the part that caught my eye in the first place.

Beautiful card! Love the soft colors!
So lovely Jean. The snowflake looks so pretty in those cool jewel tones and the silver cord is a perfect wrap for the card. So lovely! xoxo

So many ideas from this card – I love the color scheme. Stained glass or shaker? So many choices!
I see your card and I am literally feeling it – the “Joy” seeing a snowflake is bringing me. Just the thoughts of snowflake weather is promising right now, we’re cooking in the Midwest. I love this new Snowflake Stencil & Die combo, your card does it perfect justice.
Such a yummy color story!
Hi, Jean –
This is beautiful! I am a fool for anything “snowflake” or snowflake-adjacent LOL. I already ordered this!

Hi Jean. It’s beautiful. I love the snowflake off center and off the card. I like the white space too.
