A Little Holiday Mischief

There are two kinds of people after the first big snowfall.

Some admire it from inside with a mug of something warm.

The rest immediately start looking for the nearest hill.

This little penguin definitely belongs in the second group.

I enjoy making my own background. For this card, I blended Distress Oxide Inks into a cool winter sky and added a little splatter to mimic softly falling snow. It became the perfect backdrop for one very happy penguin who looks like he’s about to have the time of his life.

The simple snowy hillside keeps the focus on the sky and the penguin’s expression. Sometimes a clean design lets one special element do all the storytelling.

I have a feeling this little guy isn’t heading home with dry mittens…or a clean scarf. But that’s half the fun, isn’t it?

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope this card reminds you to make a little time for holiday mischief of your own this season.

What a sweet little guy. I love your Northern Lights type sky.
