Follow the Rainbow

Simon Says Stamp | Splendor Release
02/29/2024

Hi there!

I’m popping in quick today to share this fun St. Patrick’s Day card with you!

To make this card:

  1. Stamp the pot of gold and coins in Copic Marker-friendly ink, then color them with your copic markers.
  2. Fussy cut the images or use a Scan-n-Cut to cut them for you. *note:  I do not have coordinating dies for this set.
  3. Determine the placement of your pot of gold so that the rainbow leads into it, then Stencil the smallest dots stencil from the Bokeh Lights Stencil in soft rainbow colors onto a white card stock panel going from upper left to lower right.  Tip:  Start with yellow in the middle and work your way out.
  4. Die cut the stenciled panel with a stitched rectangle die.
  5. Stamp your sentiment on the panel using black ink.
  6. Adhere the panel to a card base using tear tape or a tape runner.
  7. Adhere the pot and coins using foam adhesive and use a light gray Copic marker to add a light shadow under the pot and coins.
  8. Add some small gems from the Rainbow Splash gems pack over the ink blended rainbow for some added bling.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
