I’m convinced there are two kinds of stamp sets: the ones you buy because you have a plan…and the ones you buy because they make you laugh.

This one definitely falls into the second category.

The moment I saw a dachshund wearing a hot dog bun, I knew resistance was futile. I wasn’t even thinking about birthdays or layouts—I was already giggling at the sentiment. Some puns are so wonderfully ridiculous that they deserve to become greeting cards.

I tried a few background ideas before finally reminding myself that not every card needs to be complicated. Sometimes the star of the show is already wearing the costume. All this little guy needed was a cheerful backdrop and a chance to strut across the front of the card looking completely unbothered by the fact that he’s literally lunch.

I have a feeling this is one of those cards I’ll reach for whenever someone needs a smile. It’s impossible to take yourself too seriously when there’s a hot dog dachshund wishing you a bun-derful day.
