What if Christmas didn’t have to look like…well…Christmas?

Don’t get me wrong. I love a classic red and green card as much as the next person. But Christmas in July always feels like the perfect excuse to shake things up. Maybe it’s the warm weather outside, or maybe it’s just my excuse to reach for colors that make me happy.

This sweet little bear practically made that decision for me.

Instead of wrapping him in traditional holiday colors, I leaned into soft blush, warm neutrals, and creamy whites. The only little wink to Christmas is the holly perched on top of his cupcake. Without it, this bear could just as easily be celebrating a birthday, sending encouragement, or delivering a sweet hello.

I think that’s one of my favorite things about dies like these. A tiny detail can completely change the story. Swap the cupcake topping, change the sentiment, and suddenly you’ve got a card for an entirely different occasion.

Maybe that’s why I enjoy Christmas in July so much. It reminds me that creative “rules” are really just suggestions, and sometimes the most fun comes from breaking them.
