XOXO Wreath

Simon Says Stamp | To Love Release
12/31/2024

Hi there!

Today I’m sharing an elegant card I made using the Anemone Wreath stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp “To Love” release.  You all know I love florals and this stamp is fantastic!  It’s filled with beautiful anemones that are perfect for coloring!  And, it’s huge!  It makes a 6×6 wreath, which I cut in half for this card (and saved the rest for another day)!

I started out by stamping and coloring the wreath with my Copic markers.  I love the burgundy-pink flowers with the olive leaves – I think these colors are super regal and stunning together, don’t you?  Once the wreath was fully colored, I fussy cut it out (my dies hadn’t arrived yet).

I die cut a smaller panel with a stitched rectangle die, figured out how I wanted the wreath, then cut the wreath almost perfectly in half to fit the stitched panel.  I adhered it to the stitched panel with foam adhesive and then adhered the whole panel to a card base with more foam adhesive.  There’s lots of dimension on this card, that’s for sure!

I diecut my sentiment from matte gold cardstock and adhered it to the card front, and added a few gold gems for some sparkle.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
