Cheering For You

Simon Says Stamp | Favorite Things Release
03/18/2025

Hi there!

I’m excited to share this fun and uplifting card featuring a new stamp set from the latest Simon Says Stamp “Favorite Things” release. This card is all about celebrating achievements—big or small—with some adorable furry friends! The sentiment “Cheering for You” was the perfect way to bring this scene to life.

Design Highlights

🐾 Masking for a Seamless Scene – I used masking to perfectly align the cat, dog, and trophy so they appear as one cohesive design.

☁️ Layered Cloud Edge – I die-cut a scalloped border to add softness, keeping the scene light and airy.

🎨 Ink Blended Background – A soft blue-green gradient creates a dreamy sky effect, making the critters and trophy stand out.

✏️ Black Glaze Pen Accents – To add movement and energy, I used a black glaze pen for subtle motion lines, making it look like the characters are joyfully bouncing with excitement!

✨ Finishing Touches – A few scattered embellishments add just the right amount of sparkle to complete the design.

I love how this card turned out—it’s the perfect encouragement piece for anyone who needs a little extra cheer! Have you started crafting with the “Favorite Things” release yet? Let me know in the comments!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
