Gingerbread Joy – Times Two!

Simon Says Stamp | Sugar and Spice Release
10/30/2025

Hi there!

There is something about gingerbread that just makes the holidays feel a little more magical. For today’s cards, I reached for the new Gingerbread Joy stamp set from Simon Says Stamp’s Sugar and Spice release, and I couldn’t resist creating two variations—each with its own adorable focal point.

I love working with smaller images and turning them into the stars of the design. With the help of a glittery snowflake backdrop, some sprigs of holly, and festive pops of red, these little gingerbread cuties feel right at home on a pair of merry and bright cards.

Design Highlights

🍪 Two variations featuring different gingerbread images from the Gingerbread Joy stamp set.
❄️ Subtle sparkle in the background using the Large Snowflakes Cutouts stencil + glitter gel.
🎀 Silver thread wrapped around the card fronts for festive shine.
🍃 Layered greenery + berries to frame the circular focal points.
✨ Small details like candy canes, mugs, and expressions bring each gingerbread to life.

These two cards were such a joy to make—sweet, sparkly, and perfect for holiday smiles!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
