Hi everyone!
Last week I posted a scrapbook page (here) and mentioned that I had another one coming – and today’s the day!
Today’s page is dedicated to our first pup, Sienna, who melted our hearts the minute we saw her. She weighed 1 pound when we brought her home, but I swear my heart swelled to the size of Texas with love for her.
We had 12 amazing years with Sienna. We called her the “Zeta Dog” because she was so easy going and so gentle. She loved everyone and everything and always knew when it was time to snuggle.
When Sienna passed away, I knew I’d never be the same. There’s just something about loving – and being loved by – a dog that changes you. She’s been gone almost 11 years, and I still miss her more than I ever thought possible.
My page features one of our favorite pictures of Sienna – running through the grass at our first house.
I accented the page with elements from the Spellbinders’ Storytelling collection and Rosie’s Studio Heartfelt paper and ephemera.
I added some stitching to the page for a handmade feel and included a tag with Sienna’s birthday and date of death.
I still look at pictures of her with longing and get a lump in my throat from missing her so much.
We have a new pup now, Riley, who I’m sure Sienna sent to us when we were ready…
I hope you like this page and that you have a wonderfully creative day!
Hi Jean. Your layout is beautiful. I love how you put a Zig Zag stitch to hold the cute flowers on. I understand how you feel about missing Sienna. I had 2 Old English Sheepdogs ( the ones with the shaggy hair all over) They were beautiful and each had a wonderful personality. I still miss them and that was 2012. I have wonderful memories, but they will always be part of my heart.
