A Halloween Hello

Hi everyone!

Today’s card has me reminiscing about Halloweens past!  My brothers and I dressed up as ghosts – or whatever Shopko costume we chose – and going door-to-door.  Many times, we had winter coats over our costumes and mittens that never held onto the treats as securely as we wanted.  But it was always a fun and exciting surprise to get home and see what sweet goodies we had gotten – and then trading each other for our favorites!

I couldn’t resist the pup in his ghost costume on this card.  He’s cute as a bug!

To make this card:

  1. Mask off a circle on your card base and ink blend a background using Distress Oxide Inks.
  2. With the mask still in place, splatter the background with water and white and black paints.
  3. Die cut the pieces for your pup and his basket, then ink blend them using colors of your choice.
  4. Assembly your die cut pieces and use them to determine the best placement for your sentiment.  Be sure to stamp your sentiment before you add your diecuts to the card.
  5. Pop your pup and basket up using foam adhesive.
  6. Add a few gems for some shine!

I hope you like this card and that it inspires you to create something fun!
