A Little Journal Joy

Simon Says Stamp | DieCember® Release
12/11/2025

Hi everyone!

Color, pattern, and happy details – that’s what this project is all about! The new Journal Jamboree stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember® release inspired me to create a set of cheerful, reusable embellishments that make journaling just a little more fun.

I paired the stamp set with the Echo Park Day in the Life collection kit to build a coordinating weekly journal. The mix of bold stripes, tiny icons, and playful tags gave everything a cohesive look while keeping the vibe lighthearted. Each embellishment has its own personality, and they’re designed to be used over and over again. Some are paperclip banners that can be moved from page to page, and others are magnetic tabs that fold neatly over the top or side of a page. They stay put beautifully thanks to small, hidden magnets — practical and cute!

Design Highlights
💡 Mix and match patterns from coordinating paper collections for a pulled-together look
📎 Create reusable embellishments with paperclips or magnets
🎨 Use bright colors to make your pages pop
🐵 Add stamped icons to fit your theme — these little critters are full of charm
📔 Perfect for planners, journals, or even handmade gifts

✂️ Studio Tip: Sturdy patterned paper works best for fold-over magnets. It holds the shape well without adding bulk – but keeps the paper from tearing if the magnets are strong. If your paper isn’t super sturdy – just add another layer!

Have a wonderfully creative day!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
