There are certain crafting themes I never even try to resist, and anything dog-related is firmly at the top of that list. This card came together quickly, simply because the joy factor was already built in before I even started.
This sweet pup was created with the Darling Dog dies from the Sending Hugs collection by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders. The playful pose and expressive face felt like the perfect match for the polaroid-style frame and a lighthearted love card.

I kept the color palette soft and friendly so the character could shine. A slightly tilted frame adds movement, while the layered hearts bring just enough detail without overwhelming the design. The result feels cheerful, affectionate, and very hard not to smile at.
Design Highlights 🐶
• Darling Dog dies as the main focal point
• Polaroid-style frame for a playful presentation
• Soft pastel background to keep the mood light
• Layered hearts for a pop of color and charm
• Clean layout that lets the character lead
✂️Studio Tip: When working with character dies, a slight tilt or offset can instantly add personality. Keeping the rest of the design clean helps the character feel intentional rather than busy, especially when the die itself already carries a lot of expression.

This card is a reminder of why themed supplies can be so inspiring. When the subject makes you happy, the creativity tends to follow naturally.
Have a wonderfully creative day.
