Hi there!
I absolutely love the beach! My favorites have long stretches of sugary sand dotted with bright colored sun umbrellas and are accented with a lot of laughter.
The new “Beach Party Umbrellas” background stamp from Simon Says Stamp’s new “Let’s Chill” release brought back memories of those beaches and I knew I had to try to capture the bright colored umbrellas on a card.
Fortunately, the stamp came to me about a week after I’d received my new Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, so I thought I’d put them to the test and see how they would work coloring the beach umbrellas. O.M.Gee… I think they worked perfectly, and I hope you’ll agree that the umbrellas turned out gorgeous!

The “Beach Party Umbrellas” is a gorgeous, red rubber, 6×6 background stamp. I embossed the image with white embossing powder on watercolor cardstock and then colored the whole thing with my Zigs. I only used a portion of the image on this card (I’m saving the other part for another card later).
I humbly admit that the fact that the umbrellas turned out so well is more of a testament to the Zigs than it is to me – they were so easy to use, and the color blended like butter! And man-o-man are they vibrant! Perfect colors for beach umbrella’s, don’t you think?
I hope you like this card and that it inspires you to add a bit of color to whatever you’re creating… or maybe take a break and head to the beach? Either way, it’s a win!
Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!
Hi, Jean –
These beach umbrellas are GORGEOUS and I agree that the ZIG markers (in your hands!) made them spectacular. I think you linked a different stamp – did you mean to link the umbrella stamp or “Joys of Spring”? Whatever… it’s a gorgeous card!!

Hi Lori! Thank you! I love the Zig markers and they definitely made coloring easy! I’m not sure why but for some reason the link to the stamp was not coming through. I think I fixed it now. The “Joys of Spring” set was used for the sentiment, so I left that in, but the Beach Party Umbrellas should be there now! Thank you!
