Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
Today I’m participating in my first ever online card challenge. This one is the Color Hues Color Challenge #9: Red & Gray. The idea behind these challenges is that you use only hues of the given colors, along with any neutrals.
I love red and gray together! I decided to make a square card using one of the adorable little elephants from Mama Elephant’s Flying with Friends.
I used my Copic Markers to color both the elephant and the balloons and mounted them on a Wonky Stitched Circle STAX die from My Favorite Things.
Copic Colors used:
Balloons: R59, R29, R27
Elephant: C1, C3, C5 and a bit of R20 for cheeks and ears
I used some designer paper I had in my stash as the background.
I white heat embossed my sentiment (Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Birthday) on black cardstock and cut it out using the coordinating die. I love using these simple strips because you can make several sentiments at one time and keep them for whenever you need a last-minute card.
Of course, I added a bit of bling using some red, silver, and pink confetti.

Every time I look at this card it makes me smile!
All the best,
Your little ellie with his balloons has planted a smile all over my face! He really is the star of the pretty stage you designed for him! Thank you for joining us at Color Hues!
