Hi there!
What an amazing holiday we had! I’m super excited for 2025 and all the possibilities it brings. I don’t do resolutions, but I do make lots of plans and, boy oh boy, I’ve got so much to look forward to this year! I hope you are starting the year with excitement, hope, and anticipation just like me!
On the crafting side, I’m gearing up for Valentines Day! So today, I’m sharing this fun and quick treat box with a bit of an elegant feel. My husband loves sweets, so this box will be filled with yummy goodies for him.
To make the box, I used products from the current Simon Says Stamp release. I used the “Falling In Love” stencil to stencil buttercream-colored hearts on cream cardstock. This gives a pretty tone-on-tone effect but, unfortunately, it doesn’t’ show up well in the pictures. I had to repeat the pattern to cover enough area for the full box die, but any breaks in the pattern are easily hid with the folds of the box.
I then die cut the ink-blended cardstock with the Sweetheart Box die, used a bone folder to crease the scored lines, and assembled the box using strong tear tape (except for the top which you need to leave open to add the treats)!
I die cut the hearts and the “xo” sentiment using the other dies in the Sweetheart Box die set. The larger heart and the “xo” were diecut from matte gold cardstock, and the inside heart was diecut from cream to match the box.
I used liquid glue to add the “xo” to the small heart and then popped it up with a foam square on the gold heart.
I added some gold ribbon from my stash around the box and tied it into a bow at the top. I then adhered the heart to the bow and the box with liquid glue.
I hope this project inspires you to create something fun for Valentines Day!
Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!
This is so elegant, Jean! Fit for a king!
