Thankful

Simon Says Stamp | Season of Wonder Release (and others)

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today’s card is courtesy of…leftover card elements!  Do you sometimes create too many die cuts or color too many images and wonder what to do with the extras?  Well, if you’re like me, no crafty goodness goes to waste!  I save all of my pieces and bits and sometimes I get inspired by what’s left over and am able to use it to create something new – which is exactly what happened for this card!

I had colored the candy corn and the latte when I created this card earlier in the month but I ended up not using them. I was loving the orange and olive color combo so I searched through my dies and found a few left over oak leaves that needed a bit of ink blending.

To pull everything together, I pulled out the Thankful die which was part of Simon Says Stamps STAMPtember release last month (and is still available for purchase) and die cut it from an olive-colored cardstock.

I arranged all the pieces on the new Dimensional Fab Floral embossing folder background.  This may be one of my most favorite embossing folders ever!

I just love how this card turned out and I hope you do too!  Thank you for stopping by!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
