A Little Peak of Gold

Simon Says Stamp | STAMPtember® Release
09/17/2026

If a Christmas tree gives me little places to sneak in some gold, I’m going to take advantage of every single one.

The Dimensional Tree die from the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® release is designed so the individual sections can lift, and I knew right away I wanted something interesting happening underneath. Metallic gold cardstock was an easy decision.

I gently curved the edges of each section of the tree before securing the tree over the gold background with narrow, strong double-sided tape. The result is just what I was hoping for: little flashes of gold that become more or less visible depending on how you look at the card.

From there, I decided restraint was probably wise. I repeated the gold with the star, sentiment, and a bit of fine metallic thread, then left plenty of white space around everything.

Apparently, my version of restraint still involves four different opportunities for gold. I’m okay with that. ✨

Pretty! I need to see this die in action in a video to understand it better. My brain does not “get” how it works. Very pretty card!
