Chirp! You Crack Me Up!

Simon Says Stamp | Favorite Things Release
03/11/2025

Hi there!

I’m excited to share this fun and lighthearted card featuring products from the latest Simon Says Stamp “Favorite Things” release! This adorable little chick, complete with bunny ears, was just too cute to resist, and I knew it would be perfect for a playful spring-themed design.

Design Highlights

🐣 Copic Coloring – I used Copic markers to bring the chick to life, adding soft shading and texture to make it extra fluffy and expressive.

🔵 Semi-Circle Window – I used an older stitched semi-circle die to create the window opening. This added some depth and dimension!

💙 Textured Background – Behind the circle window, I added a soft blue ink-blended background with embossed hearts, creating a subtle and charming backdrop.

💬 Speech Bubble & Sentiment – The speech bubble adds personality, while the “You Crack Me Up” sentiment ties the whole playful theme together.

✨ Finishing Touches – A few blue embellishments frame the scene, adding just the right amount of sparkle and interest without overwhelming the design.

I love how this card turned out—it’s the perfect way to send a smile! Have you started your spring or Easter-themed crafting yet? Let me know in the comments!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
