For my stop on the hop, I’m sharing this soft and elegant card I created using items from this amazing release!

This card features the Poppy Bundle Embossing Folder & Coordinating Die, along with the new Scripty Hugs die.  I just can’t help but love all of the dimension on this card!

To make this card:

  1. Emboss the folder THREE times on white card stock. I did partial embossing on my main panel (situated it so that my flowers were on the left of the panel rather than the middle, which meant the full panel was not in the folder.
  2. Use the dies to cut and fussy cut the flowers from one of the embossed panels and use them as masks on your main panel.  I used a bit of temporary adhesive to keep the masks in place.
  3. Use green ink to ink blend your main panel.  Be sure to keep the masks in place so that the ink does not get on the flowers.
  4. Remove the masks and any temporary adhesive reside.
  5. Use Copic Markers to color the flowers on the main panel and on the 3rd panel.
  6. Use the dies to cut the flowers from the 3rd panel.
  7. Use 3-dimensional foam adhesive to add your die cut flowers over the top of the coordinating flowers on your main panel.
  8. Splatter the panel with white and silver ink or acrylic paint.
  9. Trim your main panel, mount it on a piece of silver cardstock and then on your card front.  I used foam adhesive under my silver layer.
  10. Die cut the hugs word from silver cardstock and the shadow die from vellum.
  11. Add some gems for sparkle!

Here’s a quick reveal:

And here I the full lineup for the hop:

I was taking a second look at the card as I noticed only partial embossed the flowers. My guess she ran folder through machine sideways with right side of paper extending out of folder.

jean

designer & content creator

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
