Hi everyone!
Today I’m sharing a pretty and easy 3D flower card featuring the Flowering Quince dies from the Spellbinders Nature’s Botanical Garden Collection. This is another beautiful collection of dies designed by the amazingly talented Susan Tierney-Cockburn.
I used my dye inks as watercolor paints to make the background and flowers. To create your palette, just smoosh some ink directly onto a glass mat or other non-porous surface, then use a waterbrush or paintbrush to pick up the ink.
I started out by painting a light wash of blue for the background and setting it aside to dry.
I then die cut all the pieces for my flowers and branch out of watercolor cardstock. I painted each piece and set them aside to dry.
Once all the pieces were dry, I used my flower-forming tools to assemble and form my flowers. I dipped the stamens into flower pollen before adding them to the flowers.
I die cut my background piece using the mirrored arch labels dies and popped it up in the center of my card base using foam adhesive.
I arranged and adhered my branch and the flowers, then hot foiled a sentiment and attached it with more foam adhesive.
A few silver gems just to bring out the sparkle in the foiled sentiment and this card is complete!
I hope you like this card and that you have a wonderfully creative day!
Hi Jean. Your card is so pretty. I love the soft colors and the way the branch goes off the page.
