Frosty in Red

Simon Says Stamp | Festive Fun Release
11/14/2024

Hi there!

I’m popping in quick today to share another card that features the Simon Says Stamp Frosty snowman die and the Heartfelt snowflake die.  You can find the other card I made with both of these products here.

For this card, I colored the snowman using shades of red in my Copic markers and then adhered him to a vellum circle.   I used Black Soot Distress Oxide to create a dramatic red background on red cardstock, then nestled a couple of snowflakes over the top.  I loosely tied some twine around the panel and popped my snowman circle up with foam adhesive over the snowflakes and the twine.  I made a sentiment strip into a tag using my hole punch and then tied it to card front using the twine.  A few of the new Peppermint Dazzling gems and this card was complete.

I hope you like this card and that it inspires you to create something beautiful.

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
