Hi there!

Today I’m super excited to be participating in an Instagram Hop with some of the amazing and totally talented designer family at Simon Says Stamp!  Be sure to check out my Instagram  to follow along!  Be prepared to be inspired!  Also… if you follow the instructions for the hop you’ll be eligible for a Give Away! How cool is that??

My card today features the gorgeous “Dahlia Delights embossing folder and coordinating die set.  And it was super easy to make!

To make this card:

  1. Emboss the Dahlia Delights embossing folder TWICE on white cardstock.
  2. Trim one of the panels to 4 x 5.25 inches and use foam adhesive to attach it to your card front.  Set this aside while we make the other parts of the card.
  3. On the other panel, ink-blend the 3 dahlias that go with the coordinating dies and then cut them out.
  4. Die cut out the sentiment from a light gray cardstock.
  5. Die cut the leaves from vellum and a pale green-blue cardstock.
  6. Arrange your dahlias and leaves on the front of your card – I used liquid glue for two of the dahlias and popped one up with foam adhesive for even more dimension.
  7. Add your sentiment using pop-up foam, foam adhesive, or a few extra layers of cardstock.
  8. Add a few gems for some shine!

This card turned out so soft and pretty.  And the dimension is amazing.  I hope you like this card and that you’ll follow along on the hop to see what the other Designers are creating.  And don’t forget to check out the Simon Says Stamp “Out of this World” release!

Have a wonderfully creative day, everyone!

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
