Layered Floral Shaker

Spellbinders | Lyrical Layered Florals
Hi there!

Today I’m back with another card from theSweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken over at Spellbinders. This time, I used the Lyrical Layered Florals stamp and die set to create a beautiful spray of flowers to border a shaker window filled with sparkle.

I tried a new technique for coloring the layers of the flowers – using sponge daubers and Distress Oxide inks. Normally, these inks are best for blending, so I used the sponge daubers to apply the ink directly to the stamp and was able to blend multiple colors on a single layer. The effect is subtle, but really does make a difference!

I just love it when cards have movement and sparkle like this one and I hope you like it too!  Be sure to check out Becca Feeken’s collection – it’s just gorgeous!

Have a wonderfully creative day!

designer & content creator

I fell in love with card-making many years ago and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I love trying out new techniques and finding the perfect color combination for whatever I’m creating.

By nature, I am an uber-organizer and a steadfast planner, but as you’ll see, my creations are much more fluid. And while I love color theory, the concept of lights and shadows, and the importance of depth and perspective – these are not things I worry about when it comes to my creations.

I simply find joy in creating and delight in sharing.

I hope that by sharing my cards and other art with you here on my blog I can inspire you to create something you love!
